Diverticulitis
Diverticulitis is inflammation or infection of small pouches called diverticula that develop along the walls of the colon. Diverticulitis can cause severe abdominal pain, fever, nausea and a marked change in your bowel habits. Usually, this conditon is medically managed; however surgery maybe required for complicated or recurrent attacks.
Fecal Incontinence

Placements
Ports are devices implanted underneath the skin that allow patients an access to their veins for blood draws and infusions (i.e. for chemotherapy) without the painful and multiple IV sticks in their arms. They can be placed via an out-patient procedure.

The rectum is the last several inches of the large intestine. It starts at the end of the final segment of your colon and ends when it reaches the short, narrow passage leading to the anus.
